In addition to pre-reading the read-aloud novel before reading it with your class (it is better to be prepared than surprised!), we have other suggestions that may help keep the lessons flowing smoothly for you and your students.
One suggestion we make is to highlight and add labels to your teacher copy. You can read more about this in the welcome pages of each teacher guide.
Further directions specific to the unit you are teaching can be found in the Appendix of each read-aloud teacher guide. You will find instructions for highlighting your copy as well as a black and white copy of the labels along with directions for placing them in your book.
